Lorenzo Bertini
A few steps from where I live, in the Florentine oltrarno, there is a social workshop that produces candles. Passing by it every day, I started to think about what I could design to help them with a common project. This is how Lume candles were born, to re-activate the virtuous circuit of small craft production, made of vision, territoriality, ethicality, innovation and also humanity.
The candles are designed in Florence. Designed and 3D printed in Lucca in sustainable and biodegradable materials. Made into a mould and moulded in a moulding workshop in Carrara. Cast in Florence in the social workshop 'il Candelaio' with recovered wax from Florentine cathedrals.
