The candles are designed in Florence. Designed and 3D printed in Lucca in sustainable and biodegradable materials. Made into a mould and moulded in a moulding workshop in Carrara. Hand poured in Florence in the social workshop “il Candelaio” with recovered wax from Florentine cathedrals.

Le candele Lume sono colate a mano a Firenze dal laboratorio sociale “il candelaio” dove, persone senzatetto, escluse dalla società e dalla coscienza collettiva, lavorano per riaccenderela luce del loro futuro.

A few steps from where I live, in the Florentine oltrarno, there is a social workshop that produces candles. Passing by it every day, I started to think about what I could design to help them with a common project. This is how Lume candles were born, to re-activate the virtuous circuit of small craft production, made of vision, territoriality, ethicality, innovation and also humanity.
