Rosanna Daidone - Charta Volans
The art of bookbinding has its roots in antiquity, evolving through the centuries to become not only a means of protecting and preserving manuscripts but also a form of artistic and cultural expression.
I learned this technique at a Florentine artisan workshop that has been operating since 1856, a tradition passed down from father to son.
I create my pieces using various types of bindings, from the oldest to the most modern, also utilizing handmade papers, recycled materials, and botanical prints.
